Job summary

Blackstone Valley Prep is seeking a Student Data Specialist to manage the SIS, ensure privacy and data integrity, and coordinate reporting for Rhode Island educational standards. The role will act as a liaison between schools and the network, implement SIS integrations, and deliver training to staff.

You will support annual reporting, enrollment data, attendance, and assessment workflows while ensuring compliance with FERPA and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 4 years with progressive responsibility for maintaining SIS.
• Preferred 2-3 years professional experience in education technology and/or supporting SIS.
• Experience working in a diverse educational environment.
• Ability and proven track record for overseeing accurate data collection, validation and reporting.
• Familiarity with FERPA and data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Student Information System (SIS) and ensure privacy, security, and confidentiality of student and employee information.
• Perform annual SIS reporting and integration setup/configuration including calendar, scheduling, attendance, grades, and report cards; maintain rosters.
• Serve as liaison between schools and Network team for SIS-related data collection and support.
• Gather feedback from sites to determine potential SIS integrations and enhancements.
• Develop and deliver SIS training; support teachers, office staff, and network-level staff.
