Job summary

Iowa Western Community College (IA) is seeking a Residence Life Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Residence Life business office, manage housing contracts and billing, and coordinate move-in/move-out processes for about 1,300 residents.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, collaboration with Athletics and IT, and the ability to maintain accurate databases and generate occupancy reports.

• Experience in a customer-related field with the demonstrated ability to react to customers quickly, accurately, and congenially.
• Strong communication skills, as well as strong organizational, business, and management skills.
• Experience that demonstrates efficiency and accuracy with regard to data entry and file maintenance.
• Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
• Experience that demonstrates a strong desire to work with a variety of people on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversees housing contracting and billing processes, including online contract uploads and room assignments for ~1,300 residents.
• Maintains multiple residence life databases and coordinates move-in/move-out.
• Serves as primary contact for prospective and current students and their families; handles billing questions and room assignments.
• Creates and analyzes reports for occupancy, projections, and housing statistics.
