Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) is seeking a Leasing Coordinator for an in-office role at South Campus Commons, University of Maryland. You will manage leasing activities, move-ins/move-outs, and data accuracy, while delivering professional resident services and coordinating outreach events.

The position reports to the Senior Associate Director - Housing Operations. 1–2 years in college housing or property management, strong communication, and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years entry level experience in college student housing administration or property management leasing operations
• Experience with campus marketing and assisting with community tours
• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to operate basic office equipment including a photocopier, fax, and telephone. Basic typing and filing skills.
• Ability to work in office Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during peak leasing periods, move-in/move-out operations, and special events.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to analyze occupancy data and develop strategic plans
• Ability to move and lift up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information regarding leasing, lease transfers, occupancy policies, and occupancy processes.
• Conduct leasing and lease transfer appointments, including resident file creation and documentation management.
• Support resident move-in, move-out, Apartment Selection, and inspection processes.
• Respond to resident inquiries in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex concern to appropriate staff when necessary.
• Deliver a positive resident experience through professional in-person, phone, and electronic communication.
• Assist with community outreach initiatives, information sessions, tours, tabling events, marketing surveys, and special events.
• Support outreach and retention initiatives through event coordination, publication updates, and community engagement efforts.
• Maintain awareness of local market trends to support occupancy.
