Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) seeks a Facilities Technician to support day-to-day maintenance in a student housing community at University of Maryland. You will perform interior and exterior maintenance, preventive work, and respond to work orders.

The role requires safety, reliability, and customer service, and includes a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule; the successful candidate will have hands-on experience in trades and a professional image.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience or working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, or related maintenance trades preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide service-oriented environment.
• Must participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Complete interior and exterior maintenance projects safely and to established standards.
• Respond to maintenance requests and document tasks.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on building systems.
• Complete apartment turnover repairs and inspections following move-outs.
• Participate in a rotating 24-hour emergency on-call schedule.
