Job summary

Hamilton College Health Center seeks a part-time Health Services Assistant to support medical staff, handle PHI, answer calls, schedule appointments, and process PHI requests.

The position is on a 85% schedule (1,547 hours) with Mon-Thu 9:30am-5:30pm and Fri 8:30am-4:30pm during the academic year, summers off. Must be flexible with the schedule. Requires a High School Diploma; an Associate's Degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. Minimum Associate's Degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phones to schedule appointments and relay messages.
• Coordinate services with medical staff and handle PHI securely.
• Arrange referrals and coordinate imaging and lab services as needed.
• Receive and log medications, verify patient pickup with Hill Cards.
• Assist with lab and medical report sorting for staff.
• Respond to inquiries about Health Center services and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
• Maintain patient information databases and office supplies.
• Support inclusive campus community and be flexible with hours.
