Job summary

Germanna Community College is seeking a Student Financial Analyst to ensure the integrity of student financial transactions in SIS and WES. The role analyzes, reconciles, and resolves discrepancies in student accounts, payments, and billing to support accurate financial reporting.

The position requires collaboration with multiple campuses, system configuration oversight, and adherence to Commonwealth requirements, with travel between Germanna locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in reconciliations, financial data analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient with Excel and standard business applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy and integrity of student account records in SIS.
• Process, validate, and post student and third-party payments in SIS.
• Perform reconciliation and financial analysis with AIS data.
• Configure SIS accounts, charges, and payment plans per requirements.
• Research discrepancies and support reconciliation and reporting.
