Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with financial aid experience or related field experience.
• College-level coursework in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to learn new financial aid software quickly.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for fast-paced work.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to engage with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Process financial aid documentation, including VA Education Benefits, Military Tuition Assistance, and scholarships, to ensure students have the necessary funds for tuition.
• Monitor FAFSA submissions and ISIRs, maintain accurate records, and complete timely verification for selected files.
• Track MPN submissions via COD and conduct entrance/exit loan counseling sessions.
• Stay updated on federal and institutional financial aid regulations and ensure compliance.
• Monitor student accounts for proper packaging and oversee cash flow to ensure timely funding disbursement.
• Meet with incoming students to explain aid options and provide ongoing support, referring to academic staff as needed.
• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by campus leadership.
