Job summary

The role emphasizes student outreach, presentations, and coordination of FAFSA completion events, with occasional evenings and weekend work to support college events and community programs.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate financial aid information clearly to individuals and groups, including through presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support outreach, presentations, and college events.

Responsibilities

• Assist financial aid applicants in understanding the application process for Pell Grants, College Work-Study, state need-based scholarships, general scholarships, and other sources of financial assistance.
• Assist students with the FAFSA, related materials, and financial aid information in person, by telephone, and by email.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct student outreach activities for prospective and current students, parents, and community members.
• Develop and deliver clear, engaging financial aid presentations, workshops, orientations, and FAFSA completion events for individual and group audiences.
• Represent the Financial Aid Office at college recruitment and retention events, high school visits, community programs, and other outreach activities.
