You will help complete FAFSA, determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional aid, and make awards. You will also adjust awards during the year under the Director of Financial Aid.

The role requires advising, data verification, outreach, and collaboration across campus to support student access to aid and successful financing of their education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 2 years experience in a University environment (Financial Aid or Admissions a plus).
• Preferred understanding of Powerfaids and Jenzabar.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process daily admissions acceptance data and FAFSA records.
• Determine and request documents needed for awarding student.
• Verify student records and identify conflicting data.
• Award financial aid and assist with loans and scholarships.
• Counsel students and parents about financial aid options.
• Conduct outreach to assist with record completion.
• Maintain outside scholarship records and disbursement of funds.
• Provide loan and literacy counseling.
• Participate in admissions and athletic office visits with prospective students.
• Assist with default management activities.
• Collaborate across campus on related duties.
