Job summary

Western Governors University in Utah seeks a Student Experience Specialist to strengthen student success through proactive outreach, coaching, and timely interventions. You will work with Salesforce reports, respond to student inquiries by phone and email, and coordinate interventions to support progress from enrollment through graduation, while maintaining a student-centric, inclusive culture.

This full-time role requires about 40 hours per week, with at least some hours outside standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education, business, communication, or a related field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in education, non-profit, or underserved populations.
• Experience in a student-facing or customer-facing role.
• Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Foster student progress through observation of needs and outreach strategies.
• Lead outreach to increase student retention and graduation.
• Provide Academy knowledge via direct student outreach and timely support requests.
• Collaborate with Academy teams to improve processes and resources.
• Respond to student questions, resolve complex issues, and ensure satisfaction.
• Drive engagement through 1-1 coaching sessions with Student Success Coaches.
• Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
