Responsibilities include developing strategic engagement initiatives, overseeing Orientation and Welcome Week, collaborating with the Student Government Association, and delivering data-driven assessments to enhance student success across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in student activities or engagement settings.
• Ability to work across complex organizations and manage change.
• Ability to present to varying audience sizes.
• Ability to build relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external groups.
• Ability to supervise student employees and manage programs.
• Willingness to work nights and some weekends.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to increase student involvement and oversee Orientation, Family programs, and Welcome-Week.
• Lead major student engagement initiatives affecting UT Southern experience.
• Foster a culture of student advocacy, belonging, and support.
• Create evidence-based student experiences with timely services.
• Collaborate with Student Government Association to connect students with administration.
• Plan, advertise, and administer student activities and intramurals including staffing.
• Prepare monthly/annual reports on attendance and inventory.
• Support orientation program development and first-year transitions.
