Job summary

The University of Pikeville is seeking a Student Success & Programs Assistant to help run the Center for Student Success. You will assist students, maintain office operations, and help plan and execute campus engagement programs, including What’s Up Wednesday (WuW).

This entry-level role requires excellent customer service, organization, and teamwork with faculty, staff, and students while promoting student success and engagement across campus.

Qualifications

• General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Campus Groups, social media, etc.); strong customer service skills; attention to detail; organization and time management; problem-solving; active listening; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and willingness to learn new skills and information.

Responsibilities

• Assist Learning Lab students with campus resources, basic technology needs, and general support. (C, P, CT, T, CTR)
• Provide front desk coverage by assisting visitors, answering phones, taking messages, and directing guests. (C, P, CTR)
• Support daily office operations, including copying, typing, mail, errands, materials, bulletin boards, and promotional designs. (P, CSD, T, CT)
• Assist with planning, promoting, and implementing What’s Up Wednesday (WuW) events with campus partners. (C, TW, L, CT, CTR)
• Support event setup, activities, attendance, photography, cleanup, and equipment needs. (TW, P, CT, L)
• Manage event attendance through Campus Groups and assist with event-related social media content. (C, T, P, CSD)
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve future programming and student engagement. (C, CT, CSD, CTR)
• Communicate professionally with diverse students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting the Center’s mission. (C, P, TW, CTR)
• Demonstrate punctuality, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with FERPA and University policies. (P, CSD)
• Complete additional duties and special projects supporting the Center and campus programming. (TW, P, CSD, CT)
