Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking an UU Student - Computer to support the Exam Services Lab on campus in Salt Lake City. This part-time role (19 hours weekly) involves welcoming students, proctoring online exams, assisting faculty and students with Canvas, and handling help requests via Zendesk.

The position requires basic computer skills, reliability, and a strong customer-service mindset; prior experience is preferred. Schedule will align with class calendars.

Qualifications

• Entry level university student position requiring basic computer skills and reliability.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Canvas and online exam proctoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check students in and out of the center for taking exams
• Perform all proctor duties in the examination lab
• Receive incoming Zendesk tickets, respond or properly assign
• Handle and properly file all paper-based exams used in the lab
• Process paper exams for instructor pick up
• Check and use the information in the UCR
• Clean lab computers, tables, chairs and floor
• Receive all student walk-ins, help or properly assign
• Basic level 1 Canvas consultation support for walk-ins and appointments
• Assist instructional design team when asked
