Job summary

The University of Virginia is seeking a part-time Event Planning Student Assistant to support the Student Affairs Event Management unit. You will provide front-line customer service, greet visitors, answer inquiries, and assist in facilitating events and policies on campus.

You will process 25Live reservations, learn Event Management software, and participate in staff meetings while collaborating with CIOs and other stakeholders. Current UVA students eligible for Federal Work-Study may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service and reception for students, faculty, and staff.
• Answer phones, reply to emails, greet visitors and refer to resources.
• Process event reservations in 25Live for academic and Student Affairs spaces.
• Learn and use Event Management software as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and assist in policy implementation.
• Assist in communication with Contracted Independent Organizations (CIOs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
