Job summary

The University of Brighton is seeking an enthusiastic Ask Brighton Adviser to join our student enquiry service, often the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors. You’ll respond across face-to-face, online, telephone and email channels, providing information and guidance to help students access the services they need.

This full-time, permanent role is campus-based (37 hours) and not suitable for remote work. Applicants welcome opportunities to job share.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and administration.
• Confident, sensitive communicator who helps others.
• Organised, adaptable and resourceful.
• Able to identify when specialist support is required.
• Willing to work across City, Moulsecoomb and Falmer campuses.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries across face-to-face, online, telephone and email.
• Provide information, guidance and support to students.
• Refer complex enquiries to specialist teams.
• Collaborate with University colleagues to route students to services.
• Support students at different points in their university journey.
