Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in education, Student Affairs, or related field.
• Two years of instructing/advising, counseling, or marketing experience.
• Previous experience in student activity-related programming (orientation, student organizations, student programming) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Promote community on campus by implementing involvement opportunities for a vibrant social climate throughout the week and weekends.
• Co-advisor to the Student Government Association (SGA).
• Coordinate and attend activities sponsored by the department of Student Engagement and Leadership; ensure materials and resources are prepared and available.
• Attend and assist with SGA meetings and events.
• Develop and distribute marketing materials for upcoming events and campus news (e-newsletter; social media).
• Assist with administrative tasks, marketing, managing schedules, communications, and other student engagement activities.
• Monitor student lounge spaces to keep them welcoming, safe, and conducive to student engagement.
• Operate office machines (computer, calculator, copier, etc.).
• Communicate with faculty, staff, students, counselors, community organizations, businesses, and other PCC personnel.
• Perform other related duties as required.
