Job summary

New-College-of-Florid seeks an Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Activities to support the Director in coordinating SEA programs, events, and student involvement. The role includes recruiting and developing the Student Event Team (SET), managing budgets, and collaborating with campus partners to promote student life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proactive leadership, reliable teamwork, and a passion for fostering an engaged campus community through strategic programming

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant experience, preferably in a college or university setting
• Experience with advising, supporting or counseling students in a one-on-one setting
• Leadership, creative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, programs and events
• Excellent communication with students and senior administrators

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SEA programs, events, and student engagement initiatives.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop the Student Event Team (SET).
• Support program promotion, outreach, assessment, and budget management.
• Advise student organizations, leadership development, and volunteer opportunities.
• Lead planning, logistics, and day-of-event operations; assess impact and continuous improvement.
• Manage scheduling, space coordination, work orders, and equipment needs.
• Collaborate across campus to advance the Division of Student Affairs' mission.
