Job summary

University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking an Associate Director, Student Employment to lead the university’s student employment program. The role focuses on oversight of federal and institutional employment opportunities, regulatory compliance, and delivering career-connected experiences for students.

The Associate Director will supervise staff, train employers and supervisors, and improve the program continuously, ensuring effective management of partnerships and services across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 8 years of full-time experience in higher education, with at least 4 years in student employment.
• Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations.
• Experience with employment regulatory compliance.
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• Experience with JobX or similar student employment systems.
• PeopleSoft Student Administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the student employment program.
• Supervise permanent and student staff.
• Serve as primary contact for on-campus and off-campus employers and supervisors.
• Provide information and training on the student employment program.
