The University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking an Associate Director of Student Employment in Career Services. This leadership role oversees the university’s student employment program, ensuring compliance with federal financial aid regulations and institutional policy, while coordinating with on-campus and off-campus employers to provide meaningful work experiences.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 8 years in higher education with 4+ years in student employment;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 8 years’ full-time experience in higher education, with at least 4 years in student employment
  • Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations
  • Demonstrated experience with employment regulatory compliance
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to use and train others on an online student employment management system such as JobX
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administration System preferred
  • Experience with a CRM platform, Salesforce preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of UML’s student employment program
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state financial aid regulations and institutional policy
  • Promote meaningful work and career-connected experiences for students
  • Supervise permanent and student employees
  • Serve as primary contact for on-campus and off-campus employers and supervisors
