Job summary

The University Library at UW-Whitewater invites applications for a full-time User Services Student Development & Outreach Specialist. This role leads career readiness and training for student employees, coordinates outreach programs, and collaborates across campus to support library goals.

You will supervise student staff, manage scheduling, support Circulation Desk operations, and build partnerships with campus units while promoting library services.

Qualifications

• Supervisory and training experience.

• Ability to work independently managing multiple tasks.
• Experience with project management coordination.
• Undergraduate degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides mentorship structure for career readiness of student employees.
• Coordinates the hiring of student employees for User Services and maintains work schedules.
• Trains student employees on customer service and circulation activities.
• Collaborates with staff to develop training materials for User Services student employees.
• Manages outreach programming and campus/community collaborations to support library goals.
• Participates in library and campus committees relating to student employment and training.
