Job summary

UW‑Whitewater's University Library seeks a User Services Student Development & Outreach Specialist to lead career readiness initiatives, coordinate student staff, and supervise Outreach activities. The role blends mentorship, programming, and service at the Circulation Desk.

You will work with library staff, plan events, and report to the User Services Librarian while ensuring welcoming campus and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Supervisory and training experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work independently managing multiple tasks.
• Experience with project management coordination.
• Undergraduate degree

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoots and resolves complex problems for various resources and services.
• May supervise the day‑to‑day work of employees and/or student workers, including training and/or approving hours.
• Generates and analyzes reports of library programs, operations, and/or service outcomes.
• Coordinates the day‑to‑day functions of one or more library programs, operations, and/or services.
• Develops and implements outreach programming and services.
• Works independently and/or is responsible for specialized service areas or operations.
• Recommends, communicates, and oversees operating policies and procedures relevant to assigned area(s).
• Identifies opportunities and implements improvements to programs, processes, procedures, and/or services.
