Job summary

Johns Hopkins University seeks a JUMP Assistant Director, Student Development (Center for Student Success) to lead cross-cultural advising and programming for pre-health students at Homewood Campus. The role collaborates across JHU offices to promote student success and health-profession pathways.

The position emphasizes holistic advising, iterative program design, and partnerships with Life Design, Pre-Professional Advising, and other CS​S programs; some evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or related fields; required.
  • Three years of relevant advising experience.
  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends for events and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Support the curriculum and programming for JUMP pillars: Academic & Standardized Testing Support and Health Professions Exploration.
  • Coordinate workshops, events and programming to deepen understanding of diverse pathways and essential skills.
  • Provide holistic small-group advising and limited individual advising to JUMP members.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Pre-Professional Advising, Life Design, and other CS​S/University partners; ensure advising and success coaching.
  • Develop and manage program budgets and procure items; conduct program evaluations and reports.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise undergraduate interns and JUMP Fellows.
  • Track participation and support academic and student development programs.
