Job summary

Poway Unified School District is seeking a Student Data Technician I to support middle school scheduling, registration, and records management. The role requires accurate data entry, mastery of the SASI system, and coordination with counselors and teachers.

Responsibilities include inputting schedules, processing transcripts, and maintaining cumulative records while assisting with student testing and office operations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school graduation and two years of responsible clerical experience.
• Typing/keyboarding at least 45 words per minute, certified in writing.
• Familiarity with student data systems and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities

• Input and assure accuracy of middle school master schedule; assist staff with schedule issues.
• Register and enroll new middle school students; verify registration data and input into computer.
• Respond to inquiries; schedule counseling appointments and manage communications.
• Maintain student data in SASI database and prepare reports and lists as requested.
• Prepare middle school schedules, class lists, enrollment records, and notify teachers of changes.
• Process student grades and update report cards; communicate academic issues to staff and families.
• Establish and maintain student cumulative records; transfer records as needed.
• Monitor inventory of registration and grading materials.
• Operate school office equipment; assist with testing activities and training student assistants.
