Job summary

Environmental Charter Schools in the Los Angeles area seeks a Student Culture Assistant to support behavioral, social-emotional, restorative, and student engagement efforts under the Dean of Student Climate and Culture. You will collaborate with certificated staff to implement plans and ensure safe, inclusive environments.

The role involves MTSS, SST, IEP/504 participation, Tier 1–3 interventions, and maintaining intervention records while supporting students across classrooms and school

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent and ECS paraeducator requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting behavioral, social-emotional or student interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral, social-emotional, restorative, and student engagement support.
• Implement schoolwide and individualized supports under supervision of the Dean.
• Use prevention and deescalation strategies to support safety and belonging.
• Maintain intervention records and communicate data to staff.
• Refer concerns to appropriate certificated staff and participate in MTSS/IEP/504 meetings.
• Collaborate with staff to implement plans and ensure consistency across settings.
