Job summary

FGCU is seeking a Coordinator, Student Conduct in the Dean of Students Office to coordinate the student conduct program and ensure compliance with the Student Code of Conduct. The role involves handling formal and informal hearings, investigations, and adjudications, while supporting campus partners and maintaining program operations.

The position emphasizes development and evaluation of the conduct program, staff training, policy reviews, and engagement with university-wide groups.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
• Knowledge of student development theory, techniques and research.
• Knowledge of college student development.
• Ability to present to large groups.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate assignments to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a hearing officer in conduct cases (formal and informal).
• Investigate, evaluate, and adjudicate violations of the student conduct code.
• Create, schedule, and follow-up on student conduct cases.
• Assist with development, administration, and evaluation of the program.
• Provide training and coordination for the Conduct Team.
• Review and update policies and handbook related to student conduct.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on conduct rules and education.
• Lead facilitation to the Student Conduct Committee and design workshops.
• Stay current with regulations and implement changes to student records as needed.
• Participate in professional organizations and conferences to advance best practices.
