The Coordinator, Student Conduct is a member of the Dean of Students' Office. This position coordinates the functions and administrative processes of the student conduct program, ensuring compliance with policies and standards set forth in the Student Code of Conduct.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Serves as a member of the Dean of Students' Office as a formaland informal administrative hearing officer in academic andnon-academic conduct cases.
- Investigates, evaluates, and adjudicates complaints andallegations of violations of the student conduct code. Preparescharge letters and hearing outcome letters. Tracks compliance withsanctions.
- Creates, assigns, schedules, and provides follow-up to studentconduct cases, ensuring appropriate resolutions from hearingofficers and/or campus partners.
- Assists with development, implementation, administration, andevaluation of the student conduct program.
- Serves as a resource on university conduct matters forstudents, faculty, staff, and the community. Provides support,training, and coordination for members of the Dean of StudentsConduct Team.
- Participates and provides input in the regular review of thestudent conduct handbook, policies applying to campus activities,organizations and students, and other policy/procedure relatedmaterials.
- Conducts development programs and training sessions regardingthe rules of conduct and topics related to student discipline andacademic integrity.
- Assists with outreach, training and educational workshops toall campus constituency groups regarding policies, procedures,ethics, and best practices in student conduct and support.
- Provides input in the development of departmental goals,strategies, operations and procedures.
- Serves as the lead facilitator to the Student ConductCommittee. Designs and facilitates training and workshops forhearing officers and student staff members.
- Keeps abreast of University, departmental, federal and stateregulations related to the position. Exercises authority toimplement changes and makes exceptions to students' records.
- Participates in state, regional, and/or national professionalorganizations, conferences, and workshops.
- Stays current on trends, education, and professional bestpractices in order to develop new and improved programming.
- Assists with the hiring, training, and mentoring of supportstaff.
- Assist with department administrative tasks as needed.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either six years of directly relatedfull-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited institution in an appropriate area ofspecialization and two years of full-time experience directlyrelated to the job functions.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution in guidance,education, student personnel, human services, or a relatedfield.
- Work experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience with Workday.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertainingto the position.
- Knowledge of student development theory, techniques andresearch.
- Knowledge of the fundamental aspects of college studentintellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Knowledge of the fundamental indicators of student mentalhealth concerns, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengthsand weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approachsto problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively ina team environment.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
