Job Summary
The Graduate Assistant for Student Conduct supports FGCU'sStrategic Plan, Innovating for Student Success, by assisting withthe administration of the Student Conduct. The position aligns withCAS Standards for Student Conduct Programs and provides hands-onexperience in student conduct administration, student education,assessment, and higher education leadership.
Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with case management, documentation, and filemaintenance using Maxient and related databases.
- Meet with students referred to Student Conduct to provideguidance through the conduct and sanction process.
- Support implementation of adjudication, including preparingcharge and decision letters and verifying sanction completion.
- Schedule and coordinate pre-hearing meetings and hearings forthe Hearing Officer, Student Conduct, Student Conduct/ Title IX,and Academic Integrity Committees.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and support of StudentConduct Committee members.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and statisticalinformation, collaborating with Housing and campus partners asneeded.
- Produce monthly, mid-year, and annual reports related tostudent conduct trends and case outcomes.
- Assist with benchmarking research and short- and long-termassessment projects.
- Support outreach, workshops, and educational initiativesrelated to the Student Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity.
- Assist with admissions conduct and discipline clearance reviewsin consultation with the Assistant Director of StudentConduct.
- Maintain and update departmental website and marketingmaterials.
- Assist with general office operations, Dean of Studentsinitiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Attend bi-weekly unit meetings and maintain in-person officehours, working up to 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled graduate student at Florida GulfCoast University in good academic and disciplinary standing.
- Availability to work in person for up to 20 hours per week andattend required meetings and trainings.
