Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks an Activity Sponsor to supervise a high school extracurricular club or activity. The role involves mentoring students, coordinating meetings, and ensuring safe, well-organized events in alignment with district policies.

The sponsor will maintain records, manage budgets, and act as a liaison between students, school staff and families. A Bachelor’s degree and proven leadership, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Record keeping of club activities, membership and achievements.
• Mentor student leaders and guide goal setting and activity planning.
• Plan and coordinate events, meetings and budgeted activities.
• Oversee club supervision and ensure policies are followed.
• Communicate with administrators, parents and students about activities.
