Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Student Onboarding Coordinator to evaluate clinical placement areas and promote optimal experiences for students during rotations. You will ensure onboarding and compliance prior to rotations, collaborate with academic partners to place students, and provide administrative support to Workforce Development across the department.

The role requires coordinating across four sites, managing schedules, clearances, and EPIC training enrollment, while maintaining flu vaccine

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (from an accredited college or university) preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships are a must.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical rotation schedules for nursing cohorts.
• Arrange capstone placements for nursing students in preceptorships.
• Schedule clinical placements for allied health students.
• Manage onboarding and clearance for all students (excluding NP/MD programs).
• Review and verify student documentation (background checks, drug screenings, immunization records, BLS, and other forms).
• Enter students into the Extended Enterprise system and enroll them in EPIC training modules.
• Monitor flu vaccine compliance during flu season.
• Represent the organization on advisory boards for affiliated academic institutions.
• Foster partnerships with external schools through rounds and check-ins with students and staff.
• Additional duties as assigned.
