Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking a creative and proactive student to provide student support at the Career and Internship's Career Hub. The role offers a 20-hour weekly schedule, Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm, on UVU's campus in Orem, Utah.

You will assist students with resumes, cover letters, and interview tips, while promoting Handshake and PathwayU usage. You’ll help with Career Fair events and campus outreach, and contribute fresh ideas to broaden access to career resources.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Able to work 9:00 am–1:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
• Future semester schedule to be determined after hire.
• Reliable, strong work ethic.
• Creative thinker with ideas for student engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for helping peers with career development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line face of the Career Hub with professionalism.
• Provide walk-in career resources information and resume basics.
• Meet with students to create or improve resumes and cover letters.
• Provide basic interviewing tips and information.
• Educate students on Handshake and PathwayU usage.
• Assist with marketing and execution of Career Center events.
• Contribute ideas to improve Career Hub initiatives and outreach.
• Assist with various projects and other duties.
