Job summary

Utah Valley University seeks a Career & Internship Center support specialist to connect UVU students with off-campus employment and assist employers with recruiting efforts. You’ll promote CIC services, coordinate events, and help students develop professionally.

The role combines relationship building, customer service, and data tracking to support student success and workforce readiness within higher education operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties; OR any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
• Examples: associate's degree + 1 year experience; 30 credits + 2 years; 60 credits + 1 year; 90 credits; 3 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Connects with employers via email, phone, virtual or on-campus visits to promote CIC services to UVU students and increase off-campus part-time opportunities.
• Assist Employer Relations Manager in preparing for and conducting employer recruiting events (fairs, STEM fairs, lunch & networking, information sessions, etc.).
• Provide employer assistance with the UVU Handshake recruiting platform, setting up accounts, posting positions, and troubleshooting; ensure adherence to On Campus Recruiting Protocols.
• Head tracking of job offers and placement of students for grant purposes.
