Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Career Counselor to help students in grades 5-12 understand post-secondary options and career paths. You will maintain connections with community leaders and business partners, provide guidance on graduation requirements, and develop reporting for district leadership.

You will coordinate with school staff to promote programs, track progression toward graduation, and support students, families, and teachers with career planning services and resources.

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational and communications skills.
• Maintains and organizes documentation of service to districts.
• Confident with public speaking.
• Abilities to promote positive internal and external customer relations.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and software/programs.
• Alternatives to the above as approved by the Governing Board.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with principals, counselors, and intervention staff on career exploration needs for middle school (grades 5-8).
• Provides career exploration through programs and events; plans career day activities.
• Creates and instructs career exploration and life skills courses approved by administration.
