Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers safely between locations. The role requires punctuality, a clean driving record, and compliance with LifeWise beliefs and policies.

You will work part-time, with opportunities to engage in classroom activities as agreed. The ideal candidate maintains discipline, follows traffic laws, and ensures student safety during pickups and drop-offs.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement for 15-passenger vehicles.
• Age 21–80; additional docs for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last 5 years.
• Undergo a LifeWise Academy background check; annual Physician's Statement if medical condition exists.
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
