Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires punctual, responsible conduct, a clean driving record, and compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities include transporting passengers, performing regular bus inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing safety rules while remaining calm and caring with children.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise faith.
• Hold a valid regular driver's license; for 15+ seat vehicles CDL with (P) endorsement may be required.
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 require extra documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in the last five years; pass background check.
• Undergo and pass drug and/or alcohol testing when required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise sites.
• Obey traffic laws and drive safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
