Job summary

Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, seeks candidates for a Full-time Student Account Specialist I in the Office of Business Services. Monday–Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Exempt Grade 17. Primarily based at Rockville, with coverage at other campuses as needed.

The role supports cashiering and student payment services, ensuring compliance with internal controls and federal/state regulations, while promoting financial literacy and a positive student experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin or related field.
• Two years of experience handling financial transactions or student accounts.
• Experience providing customer service in a high-volume, multi-channel environment.

Responsibilities

• Accept and process student payments via cash, check, credit card, ACH, wire transfer, and online systems.
• Prepare and reconcile daily cashiering reports and secure deposits.
• Maintain accurate student records and process returned checks/chargebacks.
