Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Behavior Health Assistant (BHA) to work with the Social Worker and support students in accessing the general curriculum. Attendance and presence are essential.

You will track behaviors identified by the SST through MTSS, provide direct behavioral support, and collaborate with teachers, social workers, school psychologists, and other staff. This role is primarily in the classroom with occasional movement between spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Ability to assist students in various situations.

Responsibilities

• Track behaviors of general education students identified by SST via MTSS.
• Support students identified by the SST who exhibit behavioral or emotional challenges.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, social workers, school psychologists and other staff.
• Provide direct behavioral support by prompting, redirecting, encouraging, and reinforcing positive behavior.
• Collect required data and share with the SST as needed.
