ReNEW Schools seeks an Student/Athlete Academic Advisor for the AthLife Program to guide student-athletes toward academic success and timely graduation. The advisor will tailor academic plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with coaches and faculty to support holistic development.

The role requires understanding NCAA regulations and adapting to the needs of a diverse student body within Hartford-area Magnet and high schools.

Qualifications

• Preferred coursework or work experience in Education, Counseling, Sports Management or athletic administration.
• Understanding NCAA academic eligibility rules is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse students, coaches, faculty, and administrators.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized academic plans for student-athletes.
• Monitor academic progress and graduation requirements.
• Coordinate with coaches, faculty, and university support services.
• Provide proactive academic advising and timely interventions.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations and school policies.
