Job summary

The Student Assistants serve as support staff to the Campus Activities and Student Engagement office, which in turn services approximately 200 student organizations and the UWSP community for employment opportunities. Daily responsibilities include assisting individuals at the service desk, directing incoming telephone calls, and completing other duties as assigned.

All staff members are required to assist at CASE-sponsored events outside of the normal scope of position duties; it is expected

Qualifications

• Eligible for Federal Work-Study at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
• Available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week during the semester and attend meetings and events as necessary, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check initiated by the University Centers.
• Students must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing at the time of hiring and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals at the service desk.
• Direct incoming telephone calls.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Assist at CASE-sponsored events outside of the normal scope of position duties, working additional hours throughout the semester to ensure adequate staff coverage at these events.
