Job summary

Mecklenburg County School District in Baskerville, Virginia, seeks an Assessment and Student Services Administrator to oversee all state and local testing, train staff on testing procedures, and ensure security of testing materials.

The role also involves analyzing student achievement data, coordinating remediation and tutorial activities, and liaising with counselors, principals and parents to improve instruction and compliance. This is a 12-month administrative position with exempt status.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Professional License with an Administration and Supervision Pre-K -12 endorsement
• Three or more year’s successful public teaching experience
• School based administrative and/or leadership experience preferred
• Teaching at the middle school/high school level preferred
• Comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted

Responsibilities

• Serve as the School Test Coordinator for national/state assessments (SOLs, SATs, ACTs, PSATs, NCRC, Workkeys, SGAs, tests).
• Collaborate with Counselors to identify SOL testing participants.
• Coordinate building-level testing procedures for national/state/local tests.
• Conduct procedural training for all test examiners and proctors.
• Prepare orders for testing materials and maintain material security.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and oversee remediation.
• Review assessment data with teachers and departments.
• Schedule intervention and tutorial activities.
• Liaise between school administration, central office, teachers, students and parents.
