Job summary

Qualifications

• Six years of directly related full-time experience or a Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience.
• Experience delivering one-on-one or group career advising or coaching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Advises students and alumni on career readiness topics, including major/career choice, resume development, interview skills, and graduate school planning.
• Interprets results of career assessments to match personality, interests, values and skills with career options.
• Builds relationships with students, alumni, and employers to expand opportunities.
• Partners with faculty and campus stakeholders to embed career readiness into student experiences.
• Delivers trainings, workshops, and presentations on resume writing, interviewing, and job searching.
• Networks with regional employers to understand workforce trends and opportunities.
• Promotes and participates in career fairs and events.
• Supervises peer career advisors and student assistants.
