Job summary

University of Georgia in Athens seeks a Career Consultant to serve as the primary career services liaison to assigned colleges. You will provide career coaching, relationship-building with faculty and employers, and program support for students and alumni.

You will connect with faculty, academic advisors, and student services staff to integrate career development into the student experience, and help organize career fairs and outreach initiatives across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Master's degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive career education and coaching through one-on-one appointments and group sessions.
• Develop core presentations for college/major outreach requests and Arch Ready Professionalism programs.
• Staff office-wide career fairs and events that promote career development for students and alumni.
• Market upcoming events, fairs, workshops, and resources to students through Handshake, departmental contacts, and college/major listservs.
• Collaborate with supervisor to define annual performance goals for career education and assist with high-demand student populations.
