Job summary

Augusta University seeks a Career Services professional to provide guidance and development support for students and recent graduates across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. You will partner with employers, faculty, and campus services to advance career development programs and initiatives that support AU students.

The role involves engaging students, developing services and events, and expanding employer relationships through outreach, site visits, and on-campus recruitment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an Accredited College or University in Counseling/Higher Education Administration/Human Resources or related area.
• Preferred: Master's degree with experience in Career Services and academia.
• Experience in higher education, counseling, or employment services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and recent graduates individually and in groups on career and personal development to support transitions from college to careers.
• Identify and address student development issues such as motivation, indecision, self-efficacy, and decision-making.
• Develop services, programs, workshops, and events for students' professional development needs.
• Coordinate outreach, seminars, and programs based on student needs and faculty requests.
• Build partnerships with employers and external organizations; manage employer relationships and on-campus recruitment initiatives.
