Harper College AED is seeking a part-time front desk assistant to greet visitors, answer calls, and share information on HSE and ELA programs. You will perform data entry, file student records, and keep supplies organized while supporting faculty and staff with administrative tasks.
Ideal candidates are enrolled at Harper College with at least six credits, have basic keyboarding skills, and are proficient with Microsoft Office. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
General Function: Provide general assistance as determined by the department.
Harper College Adult Educational Development (AED) offers adult education classes to help adult students develop essential skills needed for today’s workforce.
Current enrollment at Harper College with a minimum of six credits per semester (three credits for the summer semester).
Basic keyboarding skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, ability to multitask, and preferably some prior office or customer‑service experience.
The part‑time schedule is based on the student’s availability, requiring availability during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
