ABOUT THE TEAMHarper College Adult Educational Development (AED) offers adulteducation classes to help adult students develop essential skillsneeded for today’s workforce.
RESPONSIBILITIESStudent Aide - Adult Educational DevelopmentDuties of the Position:- Greet visitors and provide customer service at the frontdesk.
- Answer phone calls and assist callers.
- Provide information about High School Equivalency (HSE) andEnglish Language Acquisition (ELA) programs.
- Perform data entry tasks - Sort and distribute mail.
- File and maintain student records.
- Keep office supplies organized and stocked.
- Assist faculty and staff with administrative tasks.
- Help with organizing AED events.
- Being bilingual in Spanish is an added advantage.
Education Requirements:Current enrollment at Harper College with a minimum of six creditsper semester (three credits for the summer semester).
Experience Requirements:Basic keyboarding skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software,ability to multitask, and preferably some prior office or customerservice experience.
Work Schedule:The part-time schedule is based on the student's availability,requiring availability during the following hours: Monday throughFriday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 5 hours and a maximumof 20 hours per week.
