Job summary

Acceleration Academies is hiring Student Advocates across the US to support students on their path to earning a high school diploma. The role emphasizes relationship-building, mentorship, and case management, with a focus on enrollment, retention, academics, advocacy, and operations.

We welcome recent graduates or early-career professionals; positions are onsite at assigned academy locations and require active engagement in student support activities and community events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience in education or youth mentorship.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in educational support or case management.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with enrollment and provide orientation support.
• Maintain attendance through proactive outreach and documentation.
• Serve as case manager for a cohort, tracking attendance and retention.
• Use retention protocols, including texts, calls, and home visits.
• Contribute to canvassing and recruitment efforts to attract new students.
• Provide one-on-one academic support and monitor learning pathways.
• Advocate for students by connecting them to academy staff for support.
• Provide daily operational support and participate in academy events.
