Job summary

College Internship Program (CIP) is hiring a Student Advisor to partner with students, families, and professionals to guide independence and success. This on-site, full-time role reports to the Head Student Advisor in Long Beach, CA and involves coordinating ISPs, meetings, and progress updates while supporting budgeting, scheduling, and student wellness.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong communication and organizational skills, and an active driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in autism/learning disabilities at the higher education level preferred.
• Active Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Write and coordinate ISPs and Semi-Annual Progress reports.
• Prepare and facilitate periodic meetings with students and parents.
• Communicate with student families regarding progress and schedule changes.
• Assist students with banking/money management and monthly budgets.
• Lead Team Review Meetings and share progress with CIP staff weekly.
• Attend weekly meetings on academic, residential, culinary, and vocational progress.
