College Internship Program (CIP) in Long Beach, CA seeks a Student Advisor to partner with students, families and professionals, guiding the path toward independence. The onsite, full-time role reports to the Head Student Advisor and requires active engagement in scheduling, budgeting, and program planning.

The position emphasizes collaboration across CIP functions, regular meetings with families, and ongoing professional development while supporting students with autism, ADHD, and learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field required.
• Proficient with office software; quick learner with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write and coordinate ISPs and Semi-Annual Progress reports.
• Prepare and facilitate periodic meetings with students and parents.
• Communicate with families regarding overall progress and schedule changes.
• Assist students with banking/money management and budgeting.
• Lead Team Review Meetings and share progress with CIP staff weekly.
• Coordinate with CIP teams to ensure comprehensive student programming.
• Promote student engagement through Advising Processes and Tools.
