Job summary
The Washoe County School District in Reno, NV is seeking a Student Activity Funds Technician to perform routine reviews of school activity funds reports, assist with resolving recording issues, and prepare a variety of accounting and narrative reports. You will train new users of student activity funds software and help school personnel comply with district policies.
The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and the ability to work with site staff, auditors and district personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: 15 semester units or 22 quarter units in elementary and advanced accounting, and/or auditing.
- Experience: Two years of accounting or auditing duties.
- Experience: Three years of full working-level accounting and/or auditing duties.
Responsibilities
- Examines, analyzes and verifies accounting records, financial statements, and related documents to ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.
- Maintains computerized records and prepares accounting, statistical and narrative reports.
- Oversees, reviews and trains school staff who handle monies and record-keeping duties.
