Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools seeks an Athletics/Activities Activity Sponsor to organize, supervise, and promote a student club in alignment with the district’s mission and policies. The sponsor serves as a mentor, leader, and liaison among students, staff, and administration to ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for club activities, meetings, events, and practices ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure off-campus activities are district-approved with proper permissions and transportation as needed.
• Maintain compliance with FERPA, Title IX, and district policies.
• Prepare students for participation by defining expectations and responsibilities and offering feedback.
• Guide students to plan inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the club’s mission.
• Coordinate facility usage and logistics with school staff to ensure well-organized events.
