Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, and manage the Wait List with a smile. You’ll maintain a clean foyer, answer inquiries, and guide guests to staff as needed, ensuring a warm first and last impression.

You will need to pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certification, work a five-day week, and can lift up to 50 lbs. English proficiency is required for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the restaurant with a warm, welcoming attitude.
• Escort guests to tables and manage seating flow efficiently.
• Manage the wait list and communicate wait times to guests.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the proper staff.
• Maintain foyer and host station tidy and well stocked.
• Assist guests with questions and concerns as needed.
• Conclude visits with a positive goodbye in Flanigan’s Smile Talk.
• Perform shift changes and opening/closing duties.

Job description

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
